How FPL Guru Projects Points: Goals, Assists, Clean Sheets and Bonus Explained
FPL Guru’s Points DNA splits a player’s projected score into the components that make it up, so you can see why a projection is what it is instead of trusting a single opaque number.
Goals
Projected goal involvement, weighted by position and expected-goals rate from recent Premier League matches.
Assists
Projected assist involvement, weighted the same way as goals but using expected-assists rate.
Clean sheets
For goalkeepers and defenders, the projected chance of a clean sheet in the player’s next fixture, based on both teams’ attacking and defensive strength.
Saves
For goalkeepers, projected save points from the current season’s save rate.
Bonus
Projected bonus points system (BPS) contribution, based on a player’s typical involvement in a match.
Appearance
The 1–2 points awarded for playing, weighted by the player’s chance of starting or coming on.
Every component is scaled so the six add up to the same total projection shown elsewhere in FPL Guru — Points DNA explains the number, it doesn’t change it.
